Meet Your Guide

Stikine Guide Service is a family-run business based out of Petersburg, Alaska.  It is owned and operated by David Benitz and his wife Cean, along with their two children.  David was born in Alaska in 1968 and has spent his life hunting, trapping, and fishing in the area where he now conducts his guiding operations.  

David has commercially fished since the age of 12. He has fished halibut, black cod, salmon, and now fishes for dungeness crab when he is not guiding.  David began guiding in 1994. He started Stikine Guide Service in 1998 and, after 20 years of guiding attained his Master Guide license in 2014.
